The Quakers finally get its shot when it hosts Wagner for a pair of doubleheaders this weekend. The games Saturday and Sunday both start at noon at Bower Field. After finishing its spring break 2-7, the Quakers had hoped to hit Bower Field Wednesday afternoon to play West Chester and snap their current five game losing streak. Due to inclement weather conditions the contest with the Golden Rams was postponed -- the game as of yesterday had not been rescheduled. With the rainout, Penn was able to heal some of its injured players and get a couple extra days to prepare for its back-to-back doubleheaders with Wagner (1-10) this weekend. The Seahawks, presently mired in a six-game slide, find themselves in a similar situation to the Quakers. Penn had planned to call on junior Ray Broome to start versus West Chester. Broome, along with pitchers Matthew Hepler, Sean McDonald and the Quakers' ace Armon Simonian, should all see action this weekend against Wagner according to Penn coach Bob Seddon. Currently theQuakers a hold a 3-1 series lead over Wagner. -- Miles Cohen
