To the Editor: I am not a journalist, nor do I assume that I know anything about journalism. However, I believe that there is a certain level of objectivity that must be maintained in a news story. It appears that all of your abortion-related articles show a clear bias toward the "pro-choice" side of the abortion controversy -- In particular, two such articles are "Students march for abortion rights" (DP 10/26/92) and "A Voice for Choice" (DP 10/27/92). Granted, students demonstrated for abortion rights, and if other students had been demonstrating against abortion, I suppose there would have been an article written for them. And if the lawyer who argued against Roe v. Wade had been on campus, I again suppose an appropriate article would have been written. I have yet to read such an article from the DP. By not representing the "pro-life" side, you are unfairly shutting out those who simply have a different opinion. Not everyone who reads the DP is pro-choice, and not everyone agrees with Sarah Weddington. Get rid of this blatant partiality and let both sides be equally represented.
