Penn basketball memories: The '05 comeback

After Penn dominated Princeton in three sports yesterday, it's fitting that we turn back to the rivalry with a couple of memories from Penn's 2005 comeback win over the Tigers.

Your favorite Penn basketball memory?

By far, my favorite moment was Penn's amazing comeback against Princeton at the Palestra in 2005. To this day, it is probably the most exciting and enjoyable sporting event I have ever been to.

The indelible image from that game will always be this picture of Ryan Pettinella with his fist pumped high in the air in the sea of Penn students rushing the court.

Penn 70, Princeton 62 (OT) (2005). As I recall, Penn never led in regulation and was down huge for most of the game. I was sitting behind Penn's basket in the second half and witnessed the comeback to end all comebacks. I can still picture Eric Osmundson's 4-point play and Tim Begley's banked-in 3-pointer in overtime. I attended a number of games where Penn fans stormed the court, but this was by far the sweetest.
