This isn't the first time we've seen some world-class soccer studs at Rhodes. David Beckham, Landon Donovan (above) and the LA Galaxy practiced on Penn's turf before an October game against the Union. In fact, as the DP's own Mike Wisniewski reported this summer, Rhodes has developed a reputation as a great place for pros to train.

Said Penn men's coach Rudy Fuller:

“I think Rhodes Field is one of the premier playing surfaces on the East Coast right now. It has a reputation now, so when teams come to Philadelphia, unless they have a specific reason why they want to get to PPL Park, many of them contact us to train here.”
