FGCU game is just another loss...

The Penn men's basketball team broke three NCAA records that had lasted 20 years, only to see all of its hard work trashed less than a month later.

Thanks to some stifling defense from Kansas State, Savannah State earned a page in the NCAA record books by getting manhandled in the second half of the blowout loss, losing 85-25. The Tigers managed to scored four points (two better than Penn's first half against the Eagles), shoot 4.3 percent from the floor (slightly more remarkable than Penn's 5.9) and matched the Quakers' 20-minute total of one field goal.

Anthony Jones led the way, missing all of his eight shots, scoring one point and earning five turnovers. One category Penn did tear up Savannah was turnovers - the Tigers surprisingly only had 18, one more than half of the Red and Blue's total.

Everyone for Savannah shot under 25 percent from the floor. In addition, Kansas State rookie phenom Michael Beasley scored as many points (25) and field goals (9) as his opponents, despite attempting 47 less shots. Although Beasley alone would probably score 30 against Florida Gulf Coast. Nah, that's ridiculous, make that 40.
