Zack Rosen to Penn

 

Zack Rosen, a heralded point guard from the New York area, has committed to play for Penn.

Rosen averaged 10 points and six assists a game for his high school team, Gray Bees, which hovered around the top of USA Today's poll. This coming year, he'll play at St. Benedict's Prep.

In one report, Rosen says he got offers from Iowa State, Rutgers and George Washington, but turned them down for Penn.

"They recruited me the hardest. I was their No. 1 priority and they made that clear," Rosen told Adam Zagoria of the Herald News. "I'm going to go in there and play right away and have the ball."

This will go a little way to ease the sting of last year's near-miss, Josh Owens, who ended up at Stanford.
