Getting to La Salle

It's not the easiest place in the city to get to, but it can be done in an hour or less without a car. Here's how.

Take the trolley or the Market-Frankford El to 15th Street, and transfer to the northbound Broad Street Subway.

Take the Broad Street Line north to Olney Ave. the second-to-last stop. On the way to the game, you should be able to get the express, which is a much better option. On the way back, the local's the only choice.

Once you come out of the ground, orient yourself using the Golden Krust Bakery, which some of you may know from the Jamaican beef patties they sell at the Penn Relays every year. The bakery is on the northwest corner of the intersection of Broad and Olney.

Walk west on Olney Ave. until you get to Tom Gola Arena, just past 20th Street. The walk took me 10 minutes the other night, but I have long legs, so it might be 15.
