Anything but Uniform: North Carolina

Ever since it was announced that Penn was going to play North Carolina, I've been anxious to write this post. But then the Tar Heels changed something beautiful into something just a little worse.

In case you don't see what the difference is, it's the annoying shoulder stripe things that Nike decided to make many of its teams wear this year. It takes away from the individuality of the uniforms, the Tar Heels' having been one that I especially liked.

I like the diamond pattern down the side stripes, and there just enough navy blue in the outlines to make a nice contrast. Overall, still one of my favorite unis in college sports, and I'm looking forward to seeing them in action tomorrow night.
