Anything but Uniform: La Salle

Sometimes, you ask, and you shall receive. Last year, I pined for La Salle to start wearing yellow alternate uniforms, as they had in the past.

And lo and behold, the Explorers obliged, at least against Villanova. Doesn't this look nice?

I'm excited to see this in action tonight, although after all the excitement, the Explorers might just wear the regular whites. Maybe yellow for Big 5 games only? I'd be OK with that.

In other news, as Zachary Levine reported, I was in Las Vegas last weekend.

And if someone can explain these odds to me, I will be very happy. Friday, (at the Mirage) Penn was favored by 5 over Cornell and Columbia was favored by 2 over Princeton. After Friday's results (Penn by 18, Columbia by 8), the following spreads were posted Saturday:

Penn by 6 over Columbia, and Princeton by 3 over Cornell.

How is it that Penn was favored by more over a team that had won the night before against a team that was favored by less against a team that had just lost to Penn? (it's a little convoluted logic, but hopefully you follow)

Also, in case you're wondering, the Quakers are at 2000/1 to win the NCAA Tournament. Seems like a sure bet to me.

Lastly, as long as I'm getting wishes today, I might as well point this out, even though it's not really this blog's area.

According to today's DP, the theme for Spring Fling is "2007: License to Fling," based on James Bond. It even talks about the James Bond movie "License to Kill," starring Timothy Dalton.

The only problem is, the movie is spelled "Licence," because, Bond is British. I know the American title is "License," but come on. Wouldn't the British spelling look much cooler on these shirts?
