Gore done for season

 

Reports of Cornell guard Adam Gore's strained right knee and day-to-day status quickly turned into a torn ACL. Gore will miss the enire season.

The guard was the Ivy League Rookie of the Year, averaging 12.9 points and leading the league in three-pointers last year. He scored 20 against Northwestern before blowing out his knee in the final minute.

It's another huge blow for the Big Red, which is also dealing with Jason Hartford's lingering foot injury.

While a title this season looked like a longshot, even for the fast-improving squad, next year looks like the year in Ithaca.
