ESPN chimes in on Ivy preseason picks
ESPN's Mark Adams published his thoughts on various mid-major conferences today, including the Ancient Eight. Unlike the Boston Globe, which picked Penn first, and the Ivy preseason poll, which chose Princeton, Adams went with Harvard, citing the immense talent in Kyle Casey. Adams even said that with some development, Casey could be a player of the year candidate, an honor that many preseason publications gave to Penn's Zack Rosen.
Adams also went on to add that the Crimson's backcourt will bring the team its first Ivy title.
These three [Brandyn Curry, Christian Webster and Oliver McNally] aren't flashy, but their diverse talents complement one another. That pretty much describes Amaker and his inside/perimeter talents. That is why the Crimson will win their first Ivy League title since, well, ever. But most significant to Quakers fans, the teams also listed in the hunt for the Ivy championship: Princeton and Penn.
