DNC delegate accused of shooting her husband

Delegate to the Democratic National Convention Deanna Vicites was accused of trying to kill her husband this weekend, Newsworks reported.

Authorities told Newsworks that Vicites shot her husband, Vincent, in the neck on Sunday. A Fayette county commissioner, he is currently recovering in a West Virginia hospital.

According to the article, Democratic Party officials expect Vicites' resignation by Tuesday, and the Hillary Clinton campaign will choose a replacement delegate.

Vicites is being held on bond on an attempted homicide charge. Even though the couple told authorities that the shooting was an accident, investigators told Newsworks they determined Vicites had tried to kill her husband.
