 The No. 58 Red and Blue secured their fourth-highest score of the season at 193.200, but it wasn’t enough to compete with a record-setting group of opponents at the ECAC Championships at the Palestra. No. 52 Yale won the meet with a school record 195.325, and the Quakers took fourth place in the six-team competition.

At ECACs, the Quakers will have the chance to take on rivals Brown, Cornell, Temple, William and Mary, and Yale. Although they’ve had meets against these teams during the regular season, the stakes are now much, much higher.

Coming off of an exciting performance at the Ivy Classic this past weekend at Brown, Penn gymnastics is ready to take on the upcoming weekends of spring break with full force.

Though Penn scored a season-high 193.875 total points, the Quakers came up short of their first Ivy title in three years. Yale, after losing to Penn in January by just 0.425, finished first this time at Brown on Sunday with a season-high total of 195.025 points. Cornell took second place, with the Red and Blue only topping the host Bears.

In this week's edition of Is Stat So?, Penn women's basketball comes up with another big output offensively, swimming and track and field win Ivy titles, and both lacrosse teams along secure huge wins alongside men's basketball.

This upcoming weekend, the Red and Blue will travel to Brown for the Ivy League Classic. There will be a total of four Ivy League teams at this tournament – Yale, Brown, Cornell, and Penn.

The Quakers have some major momentum halfway through their season, setting a season-high team score in each of their five meets. And with the Ivy Classic right around the corner, the team is eager to keep buliding into peak condition, facing Penn State and Cornell on Saturday.

On Sunday afternoon, Penn gymnastics hit its season high score in its Senior Meet, beating out its previous high earned last week at Cornell by more than a full point. Among the highlights for the Red and Blue was a combined score of 49.300 on floor, tying a school record last set in 2003, as the Quakers ultimately took third place in the contest.

This Sunday, Penn gymnastics will face Temple, Bridgeport, and Ursinus in a home meet at the Palestra. It’s the Quakers' senior meet, so the team will honor the contributions of the team’s seniors in a pre-meet ceremony.

It’s an all-Ivy rematch, and it will be a tight one. This Saturday, Penn gymnastics will travel to Ithaca, N.Y. to take on defending Ivy League champion Cornell, a side it faced only three weeks ago in the season-opening Lindsey Ferris Invitational.

For Penn gymnastics, which fell by a slim 192.700-to-192.000 margin to Southeast Missouri State in Friday night's "Pink Meet," that's exactly what this defeat will allow the Quakers to do: fight through adversity and learn lessons to continue to improve themselves. Despite a tough, close loss, they still have their eyes on the Ivy Classic, which is now only a month away.
