For much of the season, Penn men’s basketball seemed to be pressing on offense. On Saturday afternoon at the Palestra, sophomore guard — and recent Ivy League Player of the Week winner — Jordan Dingle debuted a new hairstyle and a new offensive identity as Penn took down the Yale Bulldogs 76-68 in what marked the team's most complete performance of the season.

In a big weekend around the Ivy League, both Penn basketball teams saw up and down results. While both teams took care of business against Brown, they suffered difficult losses to Yale with the men collapsing down the stretch and the women getting blown out. Despite the results, the two teams did create plenty of buzz with a number of exciting plays.









Top 5 Penn basketball plays of the week: Temple edition

This week, both Penn men's and women's basketball were in action against Big 5 rival Temple. While both teams jumped out to early leads, the men were able to hold off a late push by the Owls and hang on for a 66-59 win, while the women fell, 76-72, after a late Temple surge. But irrespective of the outcome, there were plenty of opportunities for the Quakers to make some highlights over both games.

With both Penn basketball teams entering Ivy League play with talented rosters and high expectations, there are sure to be plenty of impressive and important moments from their seasons. Starting this week, we will be publishing a ranking of the top five best plays from the weekend of Penn basketball. This weekend, the men fell to Saint Joseph's, 87-81, but along the way there were many exciting moments.
