One year ago, Cornell traveled to Philadelphia, and, in front of a moderately packed Franklin Field Homecoming crowd made up of mostly alumni, the Big Red shocked Penn, 15-12, winning the Trustees' Cup for the first time since 2013. On Saturday, the Quakers returned to Ithaca (N.Y.) for the first time since 2018 and completed their odyssey for revenge.

On Friday, the Wharton Undergraduate Sports Business Club and the Wharton Sports Analytics and Business Initiative held the annual Wharton Sports Business Summit, a conference where students interested in sports business and analytics have the opportunity to learn from notable individuals in the industry and network with Penn alumni in sports business.

Matthew Frank: Last season for Penn football was one defined by inconsistency. When the offense would finally break out, the defense would falter. When the defense threw together consecutive stops, the offense wouldn’t be able to make it past a series. More often than not, though, the offense was the stagnant unit, finishing dead last in the Ivy League in points per game. To be fair, Penn was not dealt an easy hand. The Quakers were forced to choose mid-season between an injured, struggling senior quarterback and a freshman who looked promising, but given his age designation, not battle-tested just yet. 







Penn at the Wells Fargo Center: How the Red and Blue hosted a March Madness weekend

With 38 seconds left to play in Friday’s first Sweet Sixteen matchup at the Wells Fargo Center, thousands of St. Peters fans (and bandwagon Peacocks supporters) cheered on the Cinderella story that was about to take down the heavily-favored Purdue Boilermakers. St. Peters’ bench was much the same, and on the floor below them was a tile on the court that pictured the University of Pennsylvania shield emblem.
