College senior Michael Krone and College junior Jordan Andrews were elected the president and vice president of the Undergraduate Assembly last year on a five-point platform of transparency, accessibility, inclusivity, mental wellness, and community engagement. A year later, they are leaving their posts having focused most of their attention on transparency, but seeing the most change in their efforts to increase midterm election turnout and push for more funding for the 6B, Penn's main minority coalition groups.







UA presidential candidate alleges executive board used funds for 'inappropriate services'

Undergraduate Assembly presidential candidate Maria Curry alleged in the first presidential debate that the current UA executive board used money earned from their airport shuttle service to pay for "inappropriate services," such as alcohol and expensive meals. Her opponent, current UA Treasurer Natasha Menon, and UA President Michael Krone confirmed that funds went toward a social event, but said the UA did not violate any rules.

Flaming marshmallow lawsuit dropped against Castle, prompts Magic Gardens event to return

A negligence lawsuit suing Penn's chapter of Psi Upsilon, commonly known as Castle, has been dropped after a Penn alumna alleged that she was severely burned by a large, flaming marshmallow at a 2017 Halloween party. The party, known as Magic Gardens, will return in April after operations were suspended because of the suit.
