Penn's cost of attendance will rise to $73,960 next year — a 3.9 percent increase

Penn's Board of Trustees approved a 3.9 percent increase in cost of attendance for the next academic year, bringing the total costs of tuition, fees, and room and board to $73,960 for the 2019-2020 academic year. This an increase from the $71,200 in the 2018-2019 academic year, which was the first time it cost more than $70,000 to attend Penn for one year.






U. inquiry proceeds into racist comment and potential ties to hazing, student reports

The Office of Student Conduct could not identify from video footage the woman who allegedly made a racist remark in Huntsman Hall, but is still investigating whether the incident was a result of hazing, according to the student who was allegedly the target of repeated "build a wall" comments on Feb. 2. 




To improve turnout at education programs, IFC announces harsher sanctions for fraternities

After years of low turnout among fraternity members at educational programs, Penn's Interfraternity Council will bar fraternity chapters from officially initiating new members until New Member Education requirements are fulfilled. The IFC also adjusted requirements and fine-tuned the sign-up process for its NME programs.
