Portraits of Penn
In Portraits of Penn, international-student host Mohamed interviews Penn students from different backgrounds to learn about their unique journeys navigating life on campus. It joins casual student-on-student chats with field experts' reflections on powerful social forces that shape the Penn bubble including race, class, sexuality, and much more.
In the podcast's premiere episode, Mohamed sits down with Spanish exchange student Javier Romera to talk about the triumphs and tribulations of an international student's life at Penn. The episode then reflects on cultural adjustment and foreign exchange in the age of COVID-19 with Lauren Fiori, the associate director of international programs at Penn.
