This episode's guest Angele Diamacoune talks about being black and queer at Penn over bánh mìs. Even though she grew up in PA, Angele describes a stark difference between being queer at home and being queer at college. She also speaks on the strong and active black community at Penn, and how it has helped her transition and feel a sense of belonging. Angele separates the experience of having intersecting queer and minority identities from being white and queer, and urges others to learn from the experiences of marginalized groups.
