Penn Sprint Football Disrespects The Troops By Winning National Championship

They really crossed the line this time. Penn Sprint football confirmed rumors of their disrespect for our troops this past Saturday when they clinched the National Championship title with a victory over Cornell, putting Penn's record at 6-0. Their next game is against Post University, a for-profit school with an 0-6 record.

Over the course of their undefeated season the Quakers beat both Army and Navy, without any regard for the sacrifices their opponents will one day make in uniform. Respect for the troops is a core American value, and the Penn Sprint Football team seems to have forgotten about it.

Every other team in the league has lost to both Army and Navy. Every other team respects this great nation and the men and women who protect it. But does Penn Sprint Football love America?

The teams representing our nation's finest are facing off this week. They each have a 5-1 record, so whichever team of noble warriors wins will finish with a record of 6-1. That is to say, Army or Navy could share the championship with Penn, but only if our boys lose their next game.

In the last decade, a military academy has won the championship every year except one. In 2006, Cornell got the W. Let's be better than Cornell, and let's allow Army or Navy its place at the top.
