Penn Study Confirms Facebook Is Real Life

Facebook_Cat

Penn researchers have done it again, taking something we're pretty sure is the case and confirming it with empirical evidence! This time the subject is everyone's favorite time-waster and stalking tool, Facebook.

The study (definitely click that link, it's hilarious) was a collab between psychology and computer science researchers. It broke down the most commonly used words in the Facebook statuses of 75,000(!) participants, and correlated the results with the ages and self-identified personality descriptions of those subjects.

Someone extroverted might make a status about a party, while someone introverted might talk more about manga. Similarly, your mom will probably talk about her kids, while your little sister will probably talk about her English essay. It's not ground-shaking, but it sure is entertaining! The same could probably be said about Facebook itself ~~deEp~~
