Not Better Than Blarney

Last week the Blockley Pourhouse hosted a VIP invite-only soiree to celebrate its grand opening. Obviously Street snagged an invite because, well, we are very important after all. Even after enjoying the benefits of the open bar and live band, Koko Bongo’s inferior replacement (yes, inferior) did not live up to the hype. To express our outrage we’ve compiled a list of grievances. Here’s (not) to you, BP:

Bad Service Is it protocol to take only half of a party’s drink order and then conveniently inform the remaining members one minute too late that the open bar had ended?

40+ Crowd Unless you’re into cougars and DILFs, the crowd was, shall we say… geriatric?

Old People Band If you thought watching a bad classic rock cover band was painful, just imagine the 40+ crowd bumpin’ and grindin’.

Faux Open (Faux-pen?) Bar

Open bar only until nine. F’realz?

Friends-Only Food Policy The food smelled good...

That is all to say, we would take Blarney over Blockley any day.
