Good morning, Penn.
Happy February! Starting this Monday, Feb. 5, you'll receive this newsletter each morning the exact same way — with the exact same essential Penn news — but under a new name. Stay tuned for the official reveal in your inbox and on the DP's social media.
In today's headlines, Penn is now one of few schools that still face ongoing legal action in a January 2022 price-fixing lawsuit alleging that the University colluded with other institutions to artificially raise tuition costs, and a second-year Penn Med resident created an app to ease physicians' administrative work.
Also, guest columnist and former Board of Trustees Chair Scott Bok raised various difficulties that the University may face in its search for a new president to replace former Penn President Liz Magill on a permanent basis.
But first, Penn will be instituting its own version of Name, Image, and Likeness for student-athletes: Penn-I-L. Let's take a look.
