Penn community members shared their thoughts on changes to the FAFSA application for the 2024-2025 academic year, and the Greenfield Intercultural Center celebrated 40 years since its establishment at the University.

Penn community members shared their thoughts on changes to the FAFSA application for the 2024-2025 academic year, and the Greenfield Intercultural Center celebrated 40 years since its establishment at the University.

But first, a former Penn Gene Therapy Program employee has filed a lawsuit against the University and program director Jim Wilson for "unethical and illegal conduct" regarding technology she invented while at the University.

University sued for 'unethical and illegal conduct'

The lawsuit — which was filed by Susan Faust, a former employee of Penn's Gene Therapy Program — contends that the University concealed the existence of licensing agreements for technology she created while retaining royalty payments, in violation of Penn's Patent Policy. The lawsuit also names Jim Wilson, the director of the GTP, citing his ownership of companies that pay the University millions for access to GTP's technology.

“It has been a long journey for Dr. Faust, and she’s ready for her day in court,” Faust's lawyer told the DP.

  The Greenfield Intercultural Center celebrated its 40 year anniversary and reflected on its impact and future at the University.

  CURF announced an award to advance health literacy in honor of Sarah Katz, a Penn student who died in September 2022.

  In its first series of a highly-anticipated campaign, Penn baseball fell to Abilene Christian 3-1.
