Student Health Services announced today that all three students hospitalized with meningococcal infections are making significant improvements and are recovering.

Two more students were hospitalized with flu-like symptoms, though they are not critically ill and have not been confirmed to have a meningococcal infection.

No other cases of the infection have been reported at this time.

The University is still recommending that all students who attended fraternity or sorority events since Feb. 2 should seek preventative treatment from SHS. Treatment is available at Houston Hall until 3 p.m. today or at the Student Health at 3535 Market St. tomorrow between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.

Approximately 2,100 students have received treatment so far. There is no need for students who have been treated since Thursday, Feb. 12, to repeat treatment.

University operations will resume as normal beginning tomorrow. All official or student-sponsored parties were canceled this weekend as a precautionary measure.
