This year, The Daily Pennsylvanian wants to reconnect with its readers.

In January, we told you that we want to cover more of the issues you care about and answer the questions you want answered.

But we're asking you to meet us partway - and we need your feedback to help us know exactly what issues and questions matter to you.

Which features do you want to see in the paper every day? Which Penn communities do you think are undercovered by the DP? Which lingering questions do you want us to investigate? Which events do you want us to cover?

This past month, we've already begun taking steps to put your thoughts on our pages.

Thanks to your feedback, we hired features writers and restructured our beat system. You asked us to give you more in-depth and personal coverage of students and faculty. You asked us to devote more of our resources to investigations. That's just what the features team aims to do.

Your feedback also inspired the campus events listing on Page 2 and the new sports events calendar. This semester, we're covering events before they happen, not just after, and we will soon bring you a comprehensive online-events system.
