Horses, Horses, Horses Galore!

When Penn Vet horse "My Special Girl" gave birth to a younger, smaller horse live, on-camera last winter, it seemed like the pinnacle of horse-related good times. But the excitement is mounting again with the announcement that the New Bolton Center in Kennett Square, PA is looking for a dedicated corps of horse-sitting volunteers! These lucky, equine-aficionados would be responsible for a variety of tasks, including holding foals upright, milking mares, monitoring equipment, changing bedding, and cleaning equipment. And it gets even better, because somehow you don't even need any prior experience with horses to qualify for this!

For the thousands of you who have been complaining recently about the lack of horse-interaction here on Penn's campus, this could be a golden opportunity to really get out there and experience untamed majesty first-hand. Giddy on up folks, because registration begins this month, with an orientation in January. For more information and to register, email foalsitters@nicuvet.com!
