Flyerer Of The Week: SPEC Concerts

42330_photo_1o

If you've been within a 5-mile radius of Locust this week you've definitely seen, heard, and tried to avoid eye contact with the SPEC booth blasting music. Maybe you were just minding your own business and they chased you down to buy tickets. Well, the members of SPEC make no apologies. Read on to see what they said:

Who are you guys and what are you flyerering for?

We are SPEC concerts and we are ticketing for our fall concert. It's Skylar Grey and the Lawsuits, it's on October 25th, and it's at World Cafe Live which we're really excited about because it's a really fun venue. So it's gonna be a good show.

How did you decide on Skylar Grey?

Finding artists is a little bit of a difficult and long process. But especially recently Skylar has been doing a lot of collaborations with big artists and we wanted someone a little more well-established. She has a history and has released a lot of singles and collaborations, so we looked at that and she was available, so we jumped on it.

Have you gotten aggressive with anyone on Locust?

There have been two funny instances. Our flyers haven't come in yet so instead we've been doing a lot of dancing with people on Locust. One of our freshmen chased someone down Locust dancing next to them while they were jogging. Also, about 30 minutes a dubstep version of a song came on and this professor walked by stopped in front of us. He just went crazy and started dancing.

Do you get any angry professors walking by?

I think the people like the music. Some are a little confused, but most enjoy it.

Do you have any last word for the people of Locust?

October 25th. 8pm. 10 dollars. Be there.
