It doesn’t get much more dominant than that for Penn women’s basketball.

The Quakers blitzed New Hampshire on Tuesday night, 74-39, controlling all facets of the game while showing off their depth. Penn's bench scored 58 points to lead the rout.

Penn’s 2-3 zone befuddled the Wildcats (3-1) all night, holding them without a field goal for a stretch of over 10 minutes in the first half. With the Red and Blue’s offense starting slow as well, Penn gave itself some time to get going.

And when the Quakers (3-1) got going, there was no stopping them.

Coach Mike McLaughlin turned to his bench with the Quakers down, 6-3, in the early going and it did not disappoint. Beginning with a three-pointer from freshman forward Michelle Nwokedi, Penn finished the half on a 39-8 run, completely taking the Wildcats out of the game.

Nwokedi led the way in that first half, hitting three triples and putting up 11 points to go with seven rebounds. She finished with a double-double, corralling 14 rebounds to go with a game-high 17 points

But it wasn’t just Nwokedi doing damage. The Quakers held a 32-15 rebounding advantage while displaying an affinity for the three-ball, going 7-for-13 from beyond the arc in the opening half. All in all, Penn took a 42-14 advantage through 20 minutes, tying the largest halftime lead under McLaughlin.

The second half went the way of the first, as Penn extended its lead as many as 39 points. Once again, the bench picked up the scoring slack for the Red and Blue with two guards leading the charge.

Freshman point guard Beth Brzozowski finished the game with a game-high 14 points, putting together a similar performance to her first collegiate game against Tennessee. The Highland Heights, Ohio. native hit four three-pointers while dishing out two assists.

And junior Keiera Ray continued her resurgence after missing much of last season with injuries. Ray drove the basket at will, using her first-step quickness to get past defenders and set up jump shots and layups. She shot 4-for-6 to finish with 11 points in just 14 minutes.

McLaughlin was able to fully empty his bench midway through the final half with the Quakers leading by more than 30 points. He was able to hold each of his starters to fewer than 20 minutes of action. Sophomore forward Sydney Stipanovich finished with four points, four rebounds and two blocks.

Penn now enjoys a full week off before traveling to Lafayette on Dec. 2.
