A 35-year-old researcher at Penn was found shot and killed in his home on Wednesday, the AP reported last night.

Ryan Wychowanec, a resource technologist at Penn Medicine, was found dead in his parents’ home in Gloucester Township, south of Cherry Hill, N.J. Police searched the home after his father shot and killed his hospitalized wife, according to the AP article

It is unclear whether Wychowanec's father, identified as 63-year-old Raymond Wychowanec, killed him, although the AP reported that the Camden County prosecutor's office was investigating that possibility. The Camden County prosecutor's office could not be reached for comment on Thursday night.

Raymond Wychowanec shot his wife at 10:15 a.m. on a second floor room in Kennedy University Hospital in Stratford, Pa. Authorities say evidence and witness statements show that Raymond shot his wife multiple times before shooting himself, the AP reported.

Neighbors said they did not hear shots coming from the home, where Ryan was found dead, according to the AP article.
