Penn men's lacrosse is coming home for the NCAA Tournament.

After taking care of business against Harvard to win the Ivy League Tournament, the Quakers were awarded the No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament. The Red and Blue will face Drexel in the first round of the tournament, a game that will be played at Franklin Field on May 11 at 3:00 p.m.

Penn was awarded a high seed thanks to the No. 2 RPI in the nation, as well as five top-20 victories. Penn's key wins including matchups with Denver, Cornell, Harvard (twice) and Yale.

Meanwhile, Drexel will merely be crossing the street to face Penn and comes in with a 12-4 record, including quality wins over Albany and St. John's. The Dragons qualified by defeating Hofstra in triple-overtime to win the CAA title.

Penn last played in the NCAA Tournament in 2011. The 2011 squad lost to Notre Dame in the first round of the tournament, falling, 13-6, on the road.

This year's squad will have ample opportunity to advance farther after obtaining home field advantage. The Quakers also come in on an eight-game winning streak, most recently losing to Cornell on March 22 (a team that Penn defeated on Friday).

If Penn is able to defeat Drexel, they would play the winner of the Denver-North Carolina matchup.
