The snow is continuing to delay events around campus.

Another day of formal recruitment for sororities has been postponed, according to College Senior and President of the Panhellenic Council Jessica Stokes. The Office of Fraternity and Sorority Life made the decision to postpone formal recruitment because the University building where tonight’s preference round was scheduled to take place is closed.

There are no final details yet about the rescheduled dates of preference round and bid night.

Most on-campus recruiting events are also canceled.

An announcement on PennLink says that “all information sessions for Wednesday, January 22nd are cancelled, except for Mondelez International which will be held as originally scheduled from 6:00 – 7:00 p.m tonight.” The announcement advises students participating in OCR to check back for information on rescheduled sessions.

According to Director of Career Services Patricia Rose, “some of the other firms scheduled for tonight may reschedule for another date if possible.” Students taking part in OCR should check PennLink for details.

Penn Dining also announced that several dining locations, like Houston Market and Joe’s Cafe, will be closed today. According to an email sent by the Housing Office to students, the bookstore reopened at 5:00pm today and will be open until 9:30 p.m tonight.

Daytime classes today were canceled and classes were suspended after 2 p.m. on Tuesday.

Students should call 215-898-MELT for updates on University operations.
