Leges sine moribus vanae: just as laws without morals are useless, so is complaining without being part of the solution.

Each spring, the Nominations & Elections Committee nominates undergraduate students to University-wide committees comprised of undergraduates, graduates, faculty and administrators. This year, we are accepting applications for 20 committees.

Do you think there are better ways to attract top students to Penn? Apply to the Admissions Dean’s Advisory Board. Do you want to sit alongside Penn President Amy Gutmann and Provost Vincent Price in selecting a new Dean for the School of Arts and Sciences? Apply to the Consultative Committee on the School of Arts and Sciences Dean. Do you have ideas for the future growth of our university? Apply to the Trustee Committee on Facilities and Campus Planning. There are so many opportunities to have your voice heard, but you have to initiate the conversation.

To apply, visit the NEC website and learn more about the committees and access the application. Completed applications must be submitted by Wednesday at 11:59 p.m. Selected applicants will be contacted for interviews, which will take place April 17 – 22.
