At about 7 p.m. Sunday, Philadelphia and Penn police responded to a report of a man with a weapon near 38th and Spruce streets. Police found a suspect matching the description by High Rise Field — however, officers found that he did not have a weapon, Division of Public Safety spokeswoman Stef Karp said.
The man refused to comply with requests to remove his hands from his pockets, but officers found no weapon, Karp said.
Upon further investigation, it was discovered that the man had a bench warrant, and he was subsequently arrested.
