Penn fencing uses homecourt to its advantage

Even though both Penn men’s and women’s fencing faced strong teams at the Philadelphia Invitational over the weekend, home court advantage ultimately won the day. This past weekend, the Red and Blue fenced against a plethora of big-name teams, such as Duke, Northwestern, Temple and UNC.

We’ve all heard the saying work hard, play hard, and Penn women’s soccer did just that over the weekend. The team spent its weekend bonding as a unit on the road, taking on VCU on Friday and Delaware on Sunday along the way.

Penn women's soccer plays to scoreless draw vs. VCU

The Quakers (2-1-2) ended with a scoreless draw against the Rams in a battle of the defenses. VCU, coming in the match with a two-game winning streak, entered the match with guns blazing, out shooting Penn, 11-4.
