About 2,000 international students are enrolled in Penn’s English Language Programs, a set of intensive programs for people from abroad who want to learn English. During their stay at Penn, students are enrolled in the program but are not officially affiliated with a school at Penn.

Freedom to Marry Day is celebrated all over the nation and involves symbolically marrying student couples throughout the day. It is organized by National Marriage Equality USA, a grass roots nonprofit organization.
