According to a report released by Forbes last week, the University’s endowment growth ranks 22nd among the 32 universities with endowments valued at more than $2 billion.

The University announced at a Board of Trustees meeting Thursday that its endowment return — which indicates how well the sum of its investments performed — for Fiscal Year 2011 was 18.6 percent.

Penn defends rising tuition

A recent study suggests that students' tuition costs cover more than just their education, but Penn says students' tuition is solely allocated to academics.
