On Saturday, Penn men’s basketball opened Penn Athletics' triple-header with a 99-40 victory over Penn State Brandywine (0-2), and as the scoreline reflects, the Quakers (2-2) dominated from the very beginning. 15 players scored for the Red and Blue, with freshman forward Jarrod Simmons and senior guard Darnell Foreman leading the way with 16 and 14 points respectively.

On Saturday, the men’s and women’s teams held their annual Red and Blue Scrimmage. The women took the court first before the men played in the sequel. Both games were closely contested with the Red squad squeaking out a 65-62 victory in the women’s game and the Blue team was victorious 78-72 in the men’s game








Penn football sees not one, but two players take home weekly honors

After defeating Lehigh 65-47 for its second win of the season, Penn saw not just one, but two of its players win conference-wide recognition. Sophomore running back Karekin Brooks was named Ivy League Offensive Player of the Week and junior linebacker Nick Miller was named Ivy League Defensive Player of the Week.

On Saturday against Lehigh, sophomore running back Karekin Brooks dominated with 268 rushing yards and four total touchdowns to carry Penn to its 65-47 victory. His 268 yards might have not been quite enough to break Penn’s all-time record of 272, but it was enough to earn him the honor of DP Sports’ Player of the Week.
