Penn students, staff, and faculty came together on Feb. 22 to protest gun violence. Despite the rain, participants stood for an hour with umbrellas and paper signs indicating the date, location, and fatalities of recent mass shootings in the U.S., including the one that happened at Parkland, Florida on Feb. 14. “It just keeps happening so repeatedly, and there’s never a lesson learned,” College senior Corey Loftus said. “I think it’s important that we do something about it.” Photos by Julio Sosa, Emma Boey, and Mira Shetty.

Organizers stood on either side of the line, passing out posters and signs and asking passersby to join them in the demonstration.
