The Ivy League announced Friday that it has partnered with Internet Protocol television company NeuLion to create the league’s first-ever digital sports network.
Tuesday afternoon, animal rights group Animal ACTivists of Philly rallied at 34th and Walnut streets against the abuse of research animals at Penn and other universities. According to a 2011 Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine report, Penn is number one among Ivy League universities in the number and severity of violations of the Animal Welfare Act.

Saturday, Penn field hockey will face a Princeton squad which has been bolstered by the return of senior Katie Reinprecht, who took last year off to represent Team USA in the Olympics.
Coursera, an online open-learning platform, announced Wednesday that 17 new universities have joined to offer “massively open online courses,” known as MOOCs. These new schools will double the number of Coursera’s partnerships from 16 to 33.
