Junior running back Lyle Marsh (26) had a career night against Fordham, rushing for three touchdowns and averaging 5.1 yards per carry. Marsh split the running load with Jeff Jack as both filled in for Brandon Colavita, who sat out to avoid injury in the non-conference game. However, Marsh suffered an ankle injury in the fourth quarter.
Sophomore center Chris Bush saw action on the junior varsity squad last year with fellow classmate and left tackle Jake Schwertner. The two have now moved up to the top of the depth chart for the Red and Blue’s all-important offensive line.
Running back Brandon Colavita led Penn’s ground attack with 24 carries, topping the 100-yard mark for the first time this season. The Red and Blue picked up 206 total yards rushing in addition to 160 through the air.
Junior quarterback Billy Ragone completed just 8 of 23 passes for 91 yards Saturday night in a blowout loss to previously winless Lafayette. Ragone threw two interceptions, both of which led to Leopards touchdowns, as the Quakers were overmatched on both sides of the ball.
