After several conversations with Joe Biden (who apparently does not like Mr. Trump), Amy Gutmann is finally moving on.

Tyga, IceJJFish, Carly Rae Jepsen and the All-American Rejects will headline the next campus conversation, which has been moved from Irvine to David Rittenhouse Laboratory A8.

The topic of conversation has yet to be decided, and there is criticism as to how cohesive the talk will be, but event organizer Charles Johnson (W ’19) was quick to explain his reasoning with the choices.

“I’ve been hearing for way too many years that people want a throwback talk, so I gave them that, along with an up-and-comer, IceJJFish,” Johnson explained.

Some students are not so pleased with the conversation’s speakers. “I find the talk to be superfluous. I’d rather be saddened by hearing what one or two of these washed-up speakers have to say, instead of utterly depressed by four totally irrelevant speakers who all hail from different genres,” one freshman told us.

Regardless, Johnson was optimistic about the event— if only for a moment. “I know a lot of people are upset and disappointed. Frankly, I am too,” he conceded.

"But there's still reason to celebrate," he added. "At least it's not a conversation with 3lau!"
