There are two types of people in this world: those who drink coffee, and those who drink tea. Lauren Cohen (W '20) is 100% a tea girl. Cohen will drink tea at almost every meal. She will have tea with breakfast, tea after a three-course Italian dinner, and sometimes even a second tea to accompany the tea she is already drinking. Yes, Cohen is a full-on tea addict. Also, she consumes an average of five alcoholic drinks a day.

On a standard day, Lauren will drink a minimum of two cups of chai, and a mug or two of Earl Grey. “Sometimes I will even have a fifth cup of ginger tea,” Lauren boasted as she drank her margarita at 4:30 in the afternoon. “Its just so calming you know? The tea.”

Cohen is not particular about what types of tea she likes. She likes peppermint, vanilla, rose, oolong, and especially the Long Island iced variety, which she has almost every day of the week besides Mondays.

Cohen's addict status is not just self-proclaimed title. “My friends joke with me all the time. They’re like, 'Send her to rehab!' And I laugh and ask, 'Is it a crime to drink a lot of decaffeinated tea? Like, come on!”

When asked for comment, Cohen's friends noted that rehab would very much not be for the tea.
