Café Renata Crumbles In Tragic Fire

Today is a sad day for brunch enthusiasts. Café Renata, a favorite brunch place on 43rd and Locust, has closed down due to damage caused by a fire earlier this week. Thankfully, the owners are safe, but it looks like it's goodbye to bottomless coffee and that delicious, decadent chocolate french toast.

Whether the restaurant will re-open is still unclear. But for now, while you mourn the loss of your favorite hangover-cure-spot, be sure you go to the fundraiser for Cafe Renata this Thursday at The Bar(n) in Cedar Park. Shamelessly score some brews and snacks — all proceeds will go to the owners of Cafe Renata.
