With Valentine's Day just around the corner, Penn prof Barry Kaufman has uncovered some foolproof ways to boost your sex appeal. All you have to do is drop out of engineering, casually pick up a contact sport, and propose a spontaneous road trip to your ideal date!

Kaufman's recent study asked undergrads to rate the "sexiness" of an array of activities. While sports, music and spontaneous road-trip-taking ranked near the top, activities like gardening and writing computer programs languished near the bottom of the sexiness scale. Anticipating the wave of anxiety from green-thumbed Penn Apps participants that these earth-shattering findings would bring, Kaufman also stated that individual preferences, which can include anything from science to "styling hair in an interesting way," also play a large role in sexiness ratings. While this doesn't teach us anything we didn't already know from the story arc of any Lizzie McGuire season, sometimes it's nice to be reminded.
