10 Things To Create With Penn's New 3D Printers

If your first month back at college hasn’t made you doubt your intelligence enough, then we have just the thing for you. This Thursday, October 2nd, from 4-5:30 p.m. in Towne 187, you can watch people much smarter than yourself show off the new Penn Engineering 3D printing facility, otherwise known as “the AddLab.”

Although we’re baffled by the fact that the new facility isn’t called “the AGLab,” in honor of her highness Amy Gutmann, we have to admit this is an awesome opportunity to sneak-a-peek at technology that none of us has a chance of being qualified to use (or understanding). However, a blog can dream, and all this talk of 3D printers has got us thinking about our must-print wishlist. Some of our favorites include:

- An Iron Man suit, duh

- Red solo cups (you can never have enough)

- A spare set of keys for those shower/late night lockouts

- Another fan for that unairconditioned dorm room

- Binoculars (to spy on A-Gut)

- A tracking device (to spy on A-Gut)

- A life-sized model of A-Gut

- A new secret place to smoke on campus

- Dignity

- A life
