Many different organizations at Penn are hosting some fun events to help students destress during finals week.

Can’t bear to spend another minute cooped up in Van Pelt? Don’t worry — The Daily Pennsylvanian has scouted out the best options Penn offers for you to destress this finals season.

Get fit:

Winter Wellness Week at Pottruck

Campus Recreation is providing Penn students with a week of free chair massages, group fitness classes and premium fitness access. Also check out the Winter Wellness Expo on Dec. 14 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. for "brain food and drink" and stress-relieving activities from Penn groups and organizations. 

When: Dec. 12 to Dec. 18 during regular Pottruck hours 

Food: Brain food and drinks

Highlight: Free fitness classes and massages

Hang out with some dogs:

Dogs and Massages Study Break at Penn Hillel

Stop by Hillel for free five-minute massages from a professional massage therapist and an adorable dog waiting to play with you. 

When: Dec. 14, 8 p.m. to 9:30 p.m.

Food: N/A

Snacks and Study Breaks:

ARCH Study Break

Join La Casa Latina, MAKUU, PAACH and PQ at the lower level of the ARCH building for stress-relieving activities and the opportunity to spend time with friends between study sessions.

When: Dec. 13, 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.

Food: Plenty of snacks

Highlights: Photo booth, CAPS Pop-Up Shop, coloring books and markers

Winter Study Break at the Sweeten Alumni House

Come one, come all to the Sweeten Alumni House, located at 3533 Locust Walk, for feel-good food and the chance to check out a Penn building you don’t normally visit. 

When: Dec. 13, 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Food: Chocolate overload with brownies, cookies and hot chocolate

Highlight: Holiday music

Holiday Study Break at the Perry World House

If you haven’t visited before, make time to explore the Perry World House during reading days. Word on the street is that President Amy Gutmann will be there.

When: Dec. 13, 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Food: Refreshments and desserts

Cookie Decorating Study Break at the Penn LGBT Center

Penn Non-Cis is offering a creative outlet for your exam stress this finals week.

When: Dec. 14, 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.

Root Beer Float and Ice Cream Study Break at Penn Hillel

Come to the lobby of Penn Hillel for some late-night stress relief and a root beer float. 

When: Dec. 13, 8pm to 9pm

Finals with Sugar Philly
