A high pressure system has parked itself over the middle of the country after some showers moved through on Thursday. We are currently in need of rain, but Thursday's light rain did very little to help our drought situation.

This weekend will continue that trend as sunny conditions will be the main story for the next couple of days. The high Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be right around 60 degrees without a cloud in the sky.

On Friday, the wind will be whipping close to 20 miles per hour, creating a slight breeze. But the rest of the weekend will be very seasonable — so get out and enjoy it!
