A branch of Democratic Coalition Against Trump Super Political Action Committee, Students Against Trump, established a chapter at Cornell University.

In an article from the Cornell Daily Sun, the student ambassador of the chapter, senior Andres Sellitto, said that the reason he started this was to “not stand by while facing the rise of a figure like Trump, who reminds me of populist dictators from other countries of the world.”

The Democratic Coalition Against Trump, the largest anti-Trump organization, according to the Cornell article, that aims to teach young voter comprehend the importance of their votes and encourage them to vote for Hillary Clinton, has so far established chapters at more than 50 campuses.

According to the Cornell article, Nathan Lerner, co-founder of the organization, plans to host “Get Out the Vote” events on different campuses, especially on campuses located in swing states, to encourage millennials to vote.

“Trump’s most probable path to victory is low turnout among millennials — age 18 to 24 — and too many voting for third-party candidates,” Lerner told the Daily Sun, and thus emphasizes the importance of young voter’s role in the elections.
