Hydery Samina, 2016

2016 Wharton Chair

To my favorite Whartonites,

It has been an amazing experience to serve you on Class Board– thank you so much for electing me for the past three years. It feels like just yesterday when I met you as I campaigned door-to-door freshman year and I cannot believe we are already finalizing details for Hey Day!

Our time at Penn is almost up, but that just means that there is much more fun in store for our last year. Feb Club, Senior Toast, and Graduation are just around the corner. This is the last (I promise) time I will ask for your Class Board vote! Please elect me for a fourth time for 4x the fun, 4x the Penn spirit, and 4x the lifelong memories. Remember, I work harder so you can play harder.

Ashish Sharma, 2017

2017 Wharton Chair

To my fellow Slytherins: My name is Ashish Sharma and I am running to be your Wharton Class Chair for 2015-2016.

We’ve had some unforgettable events this year through Class Board, from getting Shwayzed and Confused in October to feasting on Hella Nutella in February. Next year, I want to bring to you a class-wide fantasy football league, a junior sailing day, and of course, the greatest Hey Day in Penn’s history. It would be a privilege to represent your voice on the board, and make sure you have the opportunity to see your ideas come to life.

So stay tuned people! There’s an exciting year coming up. And when it comes to the ballot, vote Ashish Sharma for Class Board Wharton Chair. Thank you!

Jacob Wax, 2017

2017 Wharton Chair

As someone with prior student government experience and a tremendous amount of school spirit, I am incredibly excited to be running for Wharton Class Chair. My biggest strength as a candidate is my diverse campus involvement—I am actively involved in Wharton Council-affiliated clubs, performing arts, Greek life, and other Wharton groups such as the MGMT100 TA community and the Wharton Small Business Development Center. Through my campus involvement, I have learned so much about the many diverse communities at Penn—I know how to cater Class Board events to the needs and desires of many different social circles. I’ve also been lucky to have made strong connections with many fellow Wharton ’17 students through extracurricular involvement; this will help me represent our class effectively. Lastly, I thrive on school spirit. I’m incredibly proud and passionate about our school—this passion will help me represent our grade loudly and proudly!

Rehan Ayrton, 2018

2018 Wharton Chair

My name is Rehan Ayrton and I have been honored to represent you, my fellow Whartonites on Class Board. I hope that you enjoyed the events this year like Econ Scream, Mask & Wig Show, Cram n Jam, Class Canvas and Bonfire Night. I am dedicated to making our sophomore year the best one yet and am continually trying to help foster a greater collaboration between class board and the Wharton student divisions (Cohort System, Council and Advisory Board) to help make our Wharton experience a more enriching one.

I am approachable, determined and perpetually optimistic. If I am re-elected, the entire class makes Class Board too. This is about our fascinating journey in making a difference. What I say is what I do. If you have a great idea, I promise that it will be realized.

Together, we can accomplish anything.

David Cahn, 2018

2018 Wharton Chair, Wharton Rep

My name is David Cahn and I am running for re-election to the UA as a Wharton Representative and for election to Class Board as Wharton Chair. In the past year, I have demonstrated a strong commitment to the students I represent, leading the way on Penn’s Language Exchange program, making sure that reversed classrooms (SAIL classes) are labeled on PennInTouch, and working to increase access to chargers in libraries. I am focused on delivering students tangible results. But I don’t forget the bigger issues. This year, I was a key sponsor on a resolution to fund a longer international student orientation (ISO) – a resolution that ultimately passed the body. During budget negotiations, I fought to reduce funding to PennLabs, which botched the launch of the PennMobile app, but nonetheless receives $16,000 in annual funding.

Vote David Cahn for Wharton Rep. & Wharton Chair. Together, We Cahn Do It.
